Knotweed 03:33
… just at the onset of getting things together. i'll swear off this shit forever. knotweed i can't shake off into the incinerator just at the onset of getting things together waiting for the knock: interrogator on return, the boxcars seemed a lot lighter. migraine today. lights / slurs / numbness then it fades. helpless feeling - we've had it for days. gushing recollection - formative stage. smelled like theft. smelled the best. nothing could fit better; just at the onset of getting things together.

Witch Hunt 04:24
tell me - how did blue-collar bruce get to be known as "the boss"? and if this schedule's not right, how do i know if i've just missed the bus? because i've been hearing smatterings: things about midlife something about an expiry date at one score, ten and five i know second-hand accounts can be vague so i should probably say: if a day has the power to 'make' and equally 'break' then i seriously question your intentions in the first place but i suppose we've got our different gauges of what makes this worth it all: meteoric reports notwithstanding, i'll stand out in the shower fall because i've started to exorcise my demons and now they're super fit (after treadmilling it) so i can't outrun it. and there's no way i can set a sell-by date on this shit.

about

"I feel like these were the first proper Robocobra Quartet songs - we were just 'starting to find our sound' as boring people say. Burrowes who plays bass on later albums said he did not like our band at all until this came out... Fair. This was the first recording we made in Start Together Studios in Belfast as well - where everything for the next 6 years was recorded. Both of these were recorded live with no click and then with overdubs done at the shared house I lived in with Nathan on the Ormeau Road - we used his bedroom as a 'live room' and put both Tom and Jamie up there to play saxophone parts." Shortly after this Jamie left the band and that's when we decided to open it up to being a freer line-up where people can come and go and come back again as they choose.” - Chris, April 2020
